Water Testing – How it works

Getting the water from your bore, tank or swimming pool tested for quality or contamination is easier than you may think.

At Richmond Water Laboratories, it involves just 5 easy steps.

Get your water tested in 5 steps:

  1. Collect a sample from the water source you want to have tested (we can provide bottles if needed). Read our water sample preservation and handling guidelines.
  2. Download, print and complete our sample submission form.
  3. Deliver (or arrange for someone to deliver) the sample and form to our laboratory in Lismore (see our location and business hours).
  4. At the same time, pay the applicable fees by cash, cheque or credit card (see standard fees for individual tests or prices of our common testing suites).
  5. Wait up to 10 working days to receive the results, usually via email.
